last month of 2012

It's December and it marks the end of 2012 soon. Promised myself to upload and clear all unposted entries of 2012 before I head for my bangkok trip. When I'm back, it will be a brand new year of 2013. It marks my last trip in 2012 and also my first trip in 2013. Going to have my new year countdown over there. Hopefully I'm able to come back with a year of clothes supply. Have not been buying new clothes for quite sometimes because of this trip =p

Having some recall of what had happened throughout this whole year of 2012. Everything was quite alright, but it end with a sick month. After having some good luck, the bad time has come. Won three good lucky draws (2D1N stay in bali, 7nights resort accomodation and 39" led tv) for the past months and now I have been sick for the whole month of december! Very terrible and down on luck right? =p Have not been feeling well since the second week. Down with fever, sore throat and follow by flu -_-" What a 'good' way to end my 2012 ya =p Missed most of my xmas celebration gathering too. Suppose to have one on the 14th, but was down with fever and couldn't make it. Ended up postpone to post-xmas. Have schedule to meet my twins on the 19th to view orchard christmas lighting, but I'm sick again the day before with fever. Nevertheless, I still continue my christmas gifts shopping during lunch time and online hehehe Most of it was done online though. Manage to get some good deals online. Glad to have such advance technology to make shopping convenient. Hopefully I can recover soon to welcome a brand new year of 2013. And......I have not set any goals for upcoming year too =p

It's the most peaceful christmas for me, as I had not been actively involve in any big feast celebration this year. I'm still in the sick status =p Despite my sickness, I still enjoy my christmas gifts shopping and all the wrapping of christmas gifts =D A season of giving and sharing with people around me. Love to be santa rina hehehe it just spices up my christmas mood. Although there were some head cracking times when hunting what gifts to get.

first christmas celebration

First christmas celebration for 2012! So excited for the celebration. This year, we planned to have it at malaysia because we'll be visiting Legoland. Booked Hotel Mutiara for its legoland package. It includes one night stay at Hotel Mutiara and ticket to Legoland. Two packages available, one with land transfer and one without. We took the package which was without land transfer as we wanted to go to legoland one first day. Land transfer package only allow you to go to legoland on second day. We wanted to book KSL legoland package initially, but was fully booked =(

After legoland, we went to KSL for shopping and meal before heading back to hotel for our gift exchange. Travelling around johor bahru wasnt too difficult with their taxi. Met a friendly taxi driver too.

korea trip

A backdated post. Have not got the time to share about my trip to korea back in October. Finally get to tour the country which I dream to visit for years =D It's a 8D6N trip which booked through ASA tour during July ASA tour fair. Flew via asiana airline. The itennary was really packed haha but it's great that all was covered. Shifted 4 hotels for 6 nights. 3 nights at jeju island, 1 night at mount sorak and 2 nights in seoul. A great experience and I definitely can survive with their food culture. Kimchi! hehehe Much much more better than my visiting experiences to taiwan and hongkong. Although all are asia country food, just cannot adapt to taiwan and hongkong food culture that well. Just a vey different feeling as compare korea to hongkong, although I faced the unfamilar languages in both countries.

Love the autumn season because of the maple leaves. Weather wasn't really very very cold. It rained on the day we touched down, but lucky we headed to jeju on that evening so avoided the cold weather in seoul the next day. The tour guide said that it was autumn rain, after each rain, the temperature will turn colder as it was preparing for winter season. However, it was still sunny in jeju, as jeju's temperature was much warmer than seoul.

Went to mount soreak for maple leaves viewing. The weather was very cold at night and in the morning. Glad that was still manage to see some maple leaves. As we went up the hill, the maple leaves up there had all withered. Those trees look like in winter time, all botak haha Overall sill enjoy this trip =)

sumsung 39" LED TV

It's the annual party time again and this time round was held at hotel function room. The theme for this year was cultural, but as usual, I'm lazy to dress up. Being at the dinner for just few hours and after that need to wash up and head for bed. Thinking of this just made me no mood to follow the dress theme =p It's staff draw again for this year =) And  won a sumsung 39" LED TV. Finally a bigger tv in my house. Happy for my parents as they hook onto the tv most of the time, but not for me as I seldom watch tv nowadays =p Entertainment gadgets are never a priority stuffs in my house, that's why we have never think of changing a bigger tv as long as the current tv is still working. This is regardless of how cheap the big tv is nowadays. Till now, I have not yet really sit down and explore the function of the tv haha But if I were to spend sometime on the tv, I definitely do not have to sit right in front of the tv anymore for the tiny subtitles =p

halloween celebration

First time celebrating halloween~ Last year bought the ticket for the safra halloween but didn't get to go because I was running a high fever =( This year finally had the chance to go. Visited universal studios-halloween horror nights 2. A rainy day, but it didn't stop everyone from going. There was still a huge crowd of people. It was drizzling the whole night. There were people along the streets trying to scare you off. Long queue at the haunted house trail. Only two haunted house were available during my visit. Queued for 2hrs to get into the haunted house. The actors and actresses did a very good job. It was scary! Not a bad experience overall.

philip air fryer

Have you ever wish to have fried food without having the food fried in deep oil? Hoping to stay healthy yet cannot resist to the temptation of the delicious fried food? New technology is able to fulfill your wish and concern now with the philip air fryer =D Frying the food using the original oil in the food itself by hot air. Was given this by my aunty's colleague. We tried out frying nuggets and hotdogs. It tastes good! The outer layer of the nuggets are crispy and the inner are juicy. The special about this is that it is able to make the food crispy yet without losing the juicyness of the original food. Shall try out with harshbrown and chicken wings. Believe it will sure be very tasty!

church wedding

Attended a church wedding today from one of my financial counsultants at Jurong Christian Church. Church wedding to me is always a different atmosphere than traditional chinese ceremony. Perhaps, it gives a more western style feeling. A warm, merry and classy atmosphere. On the other hand, traditional chinese ceremony always give me a feeling of 'kampong' type of merry with all the noises and mess. After seeing so much wedding and especially the church weddings with the songs and prayers, it just a very different feeling and of course I do always prefer church wedding than traditional chinese ceremony. My preference will never be changed. Guess different religious people will feel differently due to their belonging. Even the red carpet path at the church auditorium gives me a totally different feeling from the one at the banquet ballroom.

The holy matrimony was held in both english and mandarin languages, but the exchanging of vow was conversed in mandarin. So far, I had not attended such a touching and creative wedding ceremony. It was really a different one with surprise. Quite impressed by the pretty bride in the way she responsed the vow. She sang a song title 'wo yuan yi - 我愿意' by faye wong before she response on the vow. She sang really well with her sweet voice. Can see that she put in alot of effort in the preparation. The pastor also prepared a chinese poem created from both the couples' chinese name. My sincere congratulation to the newly wed couples and may the lord bless them with a blissful marriage and a lifetime of happiness =)

fresh red snapper fish bee hoon

Had my dinner at xin yuan ji bugis after my sauna session =) Always saw long queue whenever passby. Decided to try out the food here since it was still early and waited for less than 10 minutes to get seats. Guess it was the right timing that the previous batch of diners just finished their dinner. Ordered the fresh red snapper fish meat bee hoon soup. Yummy! It tasted not bad. Shall try out the charcoal fish head steamboat the next time round.

Had red snapper fish cooked in sweet & sour style and bbq mussels with garlic for dinner last night. All the seafood are in huge portion, therefore could not order more variety.Anyway, I'm not suppose to have seafood too especially prawns and crayfish hahaha That's because I still have some patches of itchy skin not fully recovered yet.
