purple strawberry nail art

New nail art for the week again. This time round is strawberry design! Painted a purple color strawberry because i've run out of pink color nail polish hehehe I do not want a red strawberry neither as it look boring. Anyway purple strawberry look nice to me =p Not that bad overall.

 

Materials use:

dotting tool

base & top coat

pastal green color nail polish (from Etude house)

pastal purple color nail polish (from faceshop)

Steps:

1. Apply a layer of basecoat.

2. Apply pastal purple color.

3. Apply pastal green color at the top of the nail. You may use brush to apply, but I just use the nail polish brush directly.

4. Use dotting tool and dot e polka dot on the purple color area.

5. Apply a layer of topcoat.

mid-autumn celebration

It's mid-autumn again. Time flies. Still remember I had bbq gathering around mid-autumn times last year and the weather wasn't that friendly. Lucky, the weather this year was good. Had our annual bbq gathering session again. Great times spending with my group of friends with the yummy food and lantern lighting. But, this year was slightly special because decided to celebrate the oct babies birthday for them in advance since it was near oct =) Used a mooncake to replace a sponge cake as their birthday cake hahaha Hope they enjoy the night.  Really appreciate their helpout with the bbq of food and of course not forgetting my luv for setting up the superb fire. Got the food from a few places. Some ordered online through bbq wholesales and some bought from ntuc and market. We had chicken mid-joint, satay, otah, hotdog, taiwan sauages, stingray, sotong, prawn, etc. Bought nuggets too, but left it in the fridge and totally forgot about it -_-"

 

 

Went for a movie after the bbq and watched 'boyfriend*girlfirend'. A complicated relationship taiwan drama, but not a bad movie afterall. The life started from school again, just like 那些年 that movie.

Had department lunch at straits café rendezvous hotel again. An international buffet with wide spread of nice food. The laksa is famous and they have durian dessert (durain puree and cake) too. But, this time round I had a missed on both of the delicious food because I wasn't feeling very well and had not recovered from flu. I must save my throat for coming saturday bbq =p Had two plates of my favourite sashimi instead =D It's been quite sometimes since I had sashimi.

time for workout

Tonight was the second day of the workout class which I took up recently. Purchased the six weeks California gym pass from online deal with unlimited usage of the facilities (steambath & sauna) and classes (pilates, yoga, body combat, zumba etc). So far, I had only attended the zumba, body combat and basic step class. One lesson each. The classes were quite packed with people. Found that the basic step workout can be quite tiring too. Stepping up and down the board. Is ok, because I'll be going to have other funs soon hehehe Will be heading to bali this weekend =) A lucky draw prize won from one of the wedding fair at MBS which my hubby and I visited few months back. Looking forward as it's my first visit to resort villa. Frankly speaking, if it wasn't a lucky draw gift, I'm really not sure when I will have the plan to visit bali. As I always find it expensive and with the travel expenses, I can go to place like bangkok. Somemore I'm not really those beach type of girls. But, I will remember to take picture of the beautiful villa and share it when I'm back.


After back from the short gateaway, I'll be having bbq gathering with my girls. Had it last year near mid-autumn festival and of course not forgetting this year too hehe seem like a yearly celebration huh. How can I missed it! But I hope it will turn up well and everyone who attending will have a great night. See you girls and boys soon ;)

New design for my nails again. This time round is the facial expression theme haha! DIY with pastal yellow and black color nail polish from Etude house. Try out the dotting tool which my sister received it as her birthday present.

 

 

Hmmm...now thinking for the next design.

delicious mooncakes

The yearly mid-autumn festival is around the corner again. As we can see mooncake fairs at various shopping mall. And guess which mooncake brand do I buy this year?? Bakers oven again! hehe just get addicted by their yum spiral skin mooncake.It is one of the teochew mooncake. Like the yam paste as it is not too sweet and the price is by pieces. herefore, you do not have to buy a box of four, you may choose to buy just one or two pieces. Of course I bought a box of four, but is in mixture. I choose to buy 2 pieces with egg yolk, 1 piece without egg yolk and 1 piece baked skin mixed nuts mooncake. I'm happy that this year they are fully in stock. Beside this, I even bough the mini walnut mooncakes =)

 

 

The below attractive and special mooncakes are given by my uncle. It is from Casahana brand. Quite special flavours. White chocolate cranberry and bamboo charcoal green tea.

My first DIY flower arrangement, hand bouquet =D Attended the class through online deal purchase. Lesson taught by a florist from rosebud. Quite an interesting activityto me and now I can make my own hand bouquet hehe

craving for new try sushi

Finally have a try out at Itacho Sushi, Bugis outlet. Have been hearing people saying how delicious the sushi are, but no chance to taste it. Although I find the price slightly more expensive than most of the sushi, but the quality is worth the price. Quite yummy.

Finally got the chance to dine at Robert Timms =D Ordered the all day breakfast and share with my sister because of the big serving portion. We top up $4 to change the baked beans to criss-cross fries. Had my peppermint tea as usual hehe

Long time since I did my own DIY nails hehehe the mood is back again. Decide to paint it with pastel colors to create a fresh and lively feel =) Got the colors from Etude house. They have a range of nice pastel colors.

Time to get some colors on my nails again =D As I still have some nail stickers left, decided to use it before the stickyness is gone. Got the pastel green from Etude house. Nice green that look like Tiffany color. Match it with blur hearts nail stickers.

Dine at Bay Sushi which locates at MBS. Came to know this restaurant through online deal promotion. It's a 6 courses meal exclude drinks. Although the portion looks little as it is fine dining, it can be quite full.

Meet up to celebrate one of my gals birthday. Had korea bbq buffet at Ssikkek @ novena. It allows reservation. When we reached at around 530pm, the place was almost packed and with queues. Wondering why we had our dinner so early, that's because other reservation timeslot are fully booked! Not a bad place to dine at, as they provide good service. They will change the foil once they saw it is burnt.

Finally meetup with my ex-colleagues after one years? Decided to dine at Ippudo @ Mandarine Gallery. It serves nice ramen, but the queue was....damn long ok. However, it's worth spending the time to queue. Worth trying! No reservation allowed. So be there early!

 

I love the japanese egg =) After dinner, we head to Arteastiq for tea. It's located at Mandarin Gallery too. A nice place for relaxing. It does serve food as well.

It's my granny's birthday again! My uncle order a birthday cake for her and the art of the cake is just so pretty. A picture of an old granny beautifully drawn on the cake. A wide spread of nice food from catering.

Bought the cornflakes at marks & spencer sales. It came with a few flavours. I chose Apple & Cinnmon Crunch. It's just so tasty! Light and crunchy oat clusters with cinnamon & yoghurt coated cornflakes combined with red apple pieces. Although it's slightly costly than other cornflakes, it tastes really yummy =D Worth trying.

Mcdonald launches new hello kitty dress in mcdonald character costume. That's cute and meaningful! Although I'm not a hello kitty fan, I collect it too =D

 

birthday

Have my first birthday as the status 'MRS'. First celebration was with my group of girls dined at Grandma's @ Raffles City. It's a restaurant type of zhi char. Not a bad place to try. The place get packed gradually when it's dinner timing. Got a precious moment princess mylar balloon =D Do I feel ashame of carrying the big 'kiddy' balloon around? NO! LOL I just find that it's very sweet and is my favourite oh. And also not forgetting about the awfully chocolate cake. It's been sometime since we had a whole cake. Usually after dinner, we had no stomach for a whole cake. A nice catch-up.

 

Met up with my another two girls for dinner @siam kitchen, but before that, I went for high tea at shangri la veranda =D A good experience as I seldom went for high tea because timing usually doesn't match =p Because it was my birthday, I got a complimentary small ice cream cake from the restaurant.

 

That's how I had my birthday spent.
