Merry X'mas! 

Hope everyone has a super wonderful celebration. Second time spending my xmas overseas. 

Just back from Paris Disneyland. Spent my eve of christmas over there with beautiful fireworks and fairytale stories. Raining weather everyday. Last night here in Paris. Moving on to Milano in few hours time.

Hola! Greeting from Spain. Weather here was similar to London. Not too cold and it rain. People here  mostly speak Spanish. Only a very few people speak English.

Stay at Hotel Regina at Madrid. A nice and clean hotel. Room and bathroom are big too. It located at a good location which is very near to Sol. Walked to a few tourist attractions from Sol too. Took a metro to Santigo Bernabeu. Their metro line is not too difficult to travel. Next destination, Barcelona! A nice city too. Stay at Hotel Azul.

Hi! Greeting from Madrid, Spain. Time to pin down my memories from London trip. It is my first visit to London. It is consider an easy accessible place. Language isn't an issue because it is in English.

Had visited the tourist attractions via The Big Bus Tour. A two days pass which allows you to hop on and off. Will upload some photo when I'm back. First time visiting foreign post office and mail to sg from a foreign country too :)

Hi! I'm back again to blog my sharing =) Been facing the computer for almost 8hrs a day and not wanting to see the computer again after work. Have tried to use my iphone to blog, but when it comes to uploading photos, it's not that friendly. Thus, giving out the idea of updating over here =p

 

However, I have decided to keep the discipline of pinning down my memories. That's the reason I'm back here again! =D

One of my favourite perfumes that I bought it during my Korea trip last year. Had finished using it some months back and hunting for a new bottle. Glad that I finally found it.

Met up with my ex-colleague at Bukit Batok sometimes back and she brought me to this organic shop for meal. It is located in between mrt station and bus interchange. Just opposite of coffee bean. The food are tasty although it is organic food. Worth trying as it has been advertised on newspaper too. Price are reasonable.

First time dining at Poulet. A little disappointed with the escargot as it serves with shell removed which doesn't taste that fantastic. Food are not bad, but not to my liking =p

mid-autumn bbq

It's the annual BBQ time for mid-autumn celebration again =D Once a year gathering with my lovely group of primary school friends. Enjoying the yummy food with the accompanies under this wonderful atmosphere. Thanks to all for the great help out.

another new innovation

Another new innovation without attending any classes. A fondant cake this time round. And....yes! is definitely a fake one because the logo tells it all =p There's always room for improvement =)

 

 

movies

An update on the movies watched recently. It's been quite sometimes since I watched movie so frequently (weekly and consecutively in two days). Just can't make myself to sit on the chair for 100mins or more without moving around at all :p Anyway, had enjoyed all these 3 movies as there are of different movie categories.

Watched the scary ghost movie, The Conjuring. Find the story plot somehow similar to the previous movie 'The Exorcist'. Are all Ang Moh ghost movies having similar story lines? Ghost in the house? Nevertheless, not a bad movie.

Enjoyed the cute cartoon movie, The Smurf 2, on a friday night. It's really a relaxing moment. Had some laugh after a week of work. Some people may find it boring or too kidish, but I still like such movie. Educational too, as it was about family love and bond.

'That Girl in Pinafore' was another nice movie that I had chose to watch. You may think that it is somehow similar to the previous movie '那些年', but this is not really. Some of the story scenes reflects real life and is worth watching it.

new innovation

Sharing my new innovation of 2-tier rainbow cake. Have been thinking hard how to design it instead of leaving it plain and white. Finally thought of this idea to have it in 2-tier. Considering the height of the cake and the fridge space, decided to use chocolate compound as coating. Dark chocolate for bottom tier and white chocolate for top tier. Then have some decorations on by pipping the cream. So that the cake can stay at room temperature. But....nv expect the white chocolate to be so diluted that it can't cover the color of the cake well. Trying hard to cream the cake with whipping cream instead but because it is not a sponge cake, the cream just can't stay on too -_-" Feeling lost as it doesn't go as planned. No more idea on how to decorate and get it done nicely. Ok, never mind, it's late so just pack the cake into the fridge and get a fondant to cover up the next day. Who know, bought a black color fondant instead of white. Misled by the big label 'snow white rolled fondant' with a small label 'black'. With no choice, my sister suggested to cream the cake again as the thin cream layer is already chilled in the fridge. Fortunately, it turned out well :) In the end, still able to get the cake design as planned.

Happy August! As there are two public holidays in this month. Wonderful! Would like to wish all Muslims Selamat Hari Raya and wish Singapore, my country, happy birthday! Finally a good long weekend to have a break and away from work. Sometimes really cannot stand the public transport service and the crowd. Road traffic also.....*shake head* But, what can we do? Just a little ant over here :p

Had a lunch date with my beloved sister at Beer Thai House Restaurant. Head down to her working area and she recommended this dining place. Just realised that I dined here before and long ago with friends hehe The food taste not bad overall, but will remember not to request for any ingredient change. Ordered thai mini steamboat and requested the red soup to be changed to cleared soup. It turned out to be a non-spicy soup -_-" Ended up pouring the bowl of chilli back into the soup lol The waitress had given us a separate bowl of chilli just in case we need it. Thought it would be the same as clear soup tom yum, but we were wrong.

Looking for new chill out place around East area?? You may consider visiting Backstage :) A cafe with nice coffee food and most importantly with reasonable price. No gst and service charge. Nice and cosy hangout place, but forget to take a photo of the cafe. Check it out yourself :)
