goodbye 2018

A good wrap up of year 2018. Time flies and I am thankful that life at work isn't as bad as year 2017. New challenges at work with the switch to new role from logistics to purchasing. Thankful for the good opportunity as I get to do different scope without changing new company =) As time past and staying at the company for the 8th year, I do not expect or look forward for any job progession. Do whatever assigned to me. However, I did pick up new scopes along the way. Started off with just a system receiver to additional of expediting scope in 2012 when my colleague left and additional of logistics scope in 2016 when company undergo restructure and a switch to purchasing role in 2018. Looking back, grateful that I get to work on different scope without the need to job hunt and look for new job at new company.

Handling export shipment to certain country is never an easy task. Lots of communication and follow-up. With the bad experience emcountered, I don't even think of planning holiday to the particular country hahaha Anyway, it is over for the time being. Treasure what I am doing currently though there is other issue faced.

Hopefully, it will be even better in year 2019. 雨后总会有彩虹的出现 Be positive! Positive life lead positive outcome hahaha Though I need to get up early next year because my girl is going to new school and class start earlier. I am having 2019 blues now =( Will think hard for the lifestyle for 2019 now. Going back to gym- yoga class is definitely one of it. Saving more to have better cashflow is definitely another goal. Cheaper holiday trip and lesser holiday trip. Alternative R&R plan with good budget.

3d2n trip to batam. Have not been to batam for quite sometimes. Missed the glooming services there like manicure & pedicure, body massage and hair treatment services. It supposed to be a recharge trip to end 2018 and get ready for 2019. However, my little one was sick and it end up become the opposite treatment. 

Nevermind, is okay. At least my elder one still get to enjoy over the hotel stay and playtime at amusement park. She got the whole amusement park by herself as she reach early at around 10+am at Nagoya City Walk. Crowd started to flow in around noon. She did some shopping at Sun Boss too. I managed to get my classic pedicure done too at Nagoya Hill shopping mall. My aim is to remove clean my previous gelish too =p

Will definitely return again in some days =)

hysses essential oil

My first buy of Hysses essential oils. This essential oil starter kit come with 4 different fragrances. Peppermint is one of my favourite. Good for my stuffy nose. Any fragrance with geranium smell nice too. However, lavender fragrance is more challenging. It has different note of fragance, but this note is still acceptable for me. It comes in one selection only, we are not allowed to choose own fragrance. I decided to buy because all the fragrances are acceptable for me :)

Festival mood again. Christmas season around the corner. Visited flower dome at garden by the bay because of the tsum tsum display theme.

snowskin mooncakes

My favourite snowskin mooncakes make using redman snowskin premix. Need to add alot water, otherwise the texture will be too chewy. Use dragonfruit juice and vitagen as coloring.

butter cheesy crab

My second time having crab from Uncle Leong seafood since 2011. I must say their crab taste superb! I do not really like eating crab, but their crab are really meaty and easy to remove from shell. A sense of satisfication after eating the crab. I ordered home delivery this time round and chose butter cheesy flavour to go with fried mini bun. Love the sauce. Even my little girl loves it and keep saying 好吃! 螃蟹好吃!

My first attempt to fried bee hoon. Not nice thou, but still edible. Braised pig trotters and use the gravy to fried bee hoon. Ntuc supermarket, my favourite place to buy pig trotters hehe A fatty meal, but with collagen.

spring season

I know the season is here when I saw these tulips at Giant Hypermart. Bought one bunch home as I cannot resist the temptation haha It would be more lovely if it is available in other colors. Love the way how the tulips grow. They grow tallers after 1-2 days in my vase =D

express homecooked meal

Managed to cook these simple dishes in 30min. Put the ingredients to cook while I had a bath. Tada! Ready to eat when I am out from the bathroom. Steamed french beans with garlic, braised mid-joint chicken with potato and hard-boiled salted egg. Chose to braise chicken as chicken get to cook in a short time. Steamed vegetable can be ready in just 10minutes and of course I put in the salted egg to steam together instead of boiling it in water. Not forgetting the plain porridge which can be cooked in just 30min too.

It is still in the month of lunar new year. Change over to a new vase of lunar new year flowers on the seventh day 初七人日.

First time cooking pig stomach and intestines in bak kut teh soup. Overall, still a success dish and taste yummy. Will try to wash and clean these two organs the next time round hehe credit to my mom for the help to clean the pig organs. Also, steamed my favourite rabbitfish for dinner but forgot to take photo. Buy from sheng shiong and taste not too bad.

Happy and satisfied with my own creation of flower arrangement. Bought the ala cart flowers bundle from cold storage and NTUC. Due to valentines day, the flowers are more expensive. Combination of roses with 转运竹.

good start of year 2018

Another year with winning of hamper at the start of the year. Good start of the year? I really hope it will be. Too much of late shipments causing phobia. In 2017, I won hamper from pre-cny lucky draw, but the whole year with alot of issues faced at work. This year, I won hamper again at the beginning of a brand new year from post-christmas and new year lucky draw. I hope the fate at work will be different from last year. 🙏

Ah Guan's Mee Pok

Tried Ah Guan's mee pok based on recommendation for today lunch. Wow! There is a short queue. Queued for a few minutes to get my noodle. Choose the classic normal one. Chinese mee pok with japanese style egg with lotsa crispy fried lard. Overall, still taste not bad. Didn't waste my time to queue :) Guess it would be better if I choose mee pok with chilli.

last trip of 2017 cum first trip of 2018

Last trip of 2017 and also the first trip of 2018. A good wrap up of all the bad from 2017 and a fresh start of a brand new 2018. Please be a smooth and healthy 2018 🙏 Festive season over, time to start fighting hard with new challenges again.

A 3D2N trip to Bintan. Consider an impromptu which planned and booked 2 weeks in advance only. Happened to google and came across this bintan lagoon resort festive family package. Just nice that this option is for family with two kids. Package include two nights stay at Deluxe room with a festive lunch and lunch. There are a few complimentary activites from leisure centre too.

A resort with private ferry terminal which operate during festive season only. It brings convenience as the ferry stops right at the door step of the resort. However, it was a super rocky ride due to big wind and waves. The resort is slight old too. Food at the restaurant taste average only except for their signature Nelayan restaurant. Staffs are friendly and service is good. Overall a good experience.

It was a wet new year be it at bintan or singapore. The difference is that at least the rain stopped for firework at bintan. Nice countdown firework.
