last shopping trip for cny

It had been raining consecutively non-stop since saturday. Sky has been dark since saturday. Guess Mr Sun has gone on holiday =( But my plan for spring cleaning still go on =p Washed all my clothes using the new washing machine =) The clothes were really quite dry after e spin. Guess with e help of e cool wind, hope my clothes can still dry fast.

Received a letter from Courts that rewarding their customers with $20 gift card voucher. Bukit Timah outlet is moving out. But e gift card can be redeemed from all outlets except Bukit Timah. Went to get a new rice cooker as e currently one is half spoiled. Top up another $35 =). After that, went to ntuc to get some ingredients for steamboat for cny eve lunch and mandarin oranges. Saw 2 cute mascots giving out some candies & angbaos with 4 digits numbers to e shoppers.

Time for spring cleaning~ Woke up & had brunch at Greenridge shopping centre before proceed for e spring cleaning of e day. Hoping that e sun would be out in e afternoon, but so disappointed. Cleaned my shoes cabinet by removing all e shoes and wiped e cabinet with mold killer & apply anti-mold blocker. Placed a piece of newspaper on every shelves to prevent dirt & for odor absorption. Removed a few pairs of old shoes and gave away one new pair of slippers =)

After that, a major cleaning for e wardrobe. This's a tedious job. Had to remove everything out from e wardrobe, use e mold killer cleaning agent to wipe and spray on e anti-mold blocker. Left it to air for 30 minutes before those stuffs could be keep back. Threw away alot of clothes & packed alot of clothes to be donated away =p Now e wardrobe is much more neater & manage to free some spaces for other stuffs =(

What a tiring day. Shall continue with e cleaning tomorrow & hope it will be a sunny day.

Next thursday will officially be e first day of cny. Guess everyone now must be busy with all e shopping & cleaning task. I had just finished my cookies baking =) It can be quite tiring. Try out e new crispy butter cookies that I just learn recently. *thumb up* After that, decided to try out baking new flavour cookies instead of e usual chocolate chips cookies. Did a raspberry flavour this time round with cherry bits & macadamia nuts =) The dough just smell so nice haha The texture is abit crispy type. Will try making other texture (moist & melt in e mouth) e next time round =)

Cny is round e corner. Perhaps next wed is already cny eve. Are you ready for e cny? lol Have you gotten those once a year goodies? Once a year goodies refer to like bak kwa (bbq seasoned pork). Seem like this year e economy has really turned good as e sales of most of e goodies are quite good. Especially for the bak kwa. The queue is damn long even at e period 2 weeks before cny. Of course e long queue only come from those usual more well-like brand like lim chee guan. But guess seldom people will know that actually there is also nice bak kwa selling at some neighbourhood area unless you are staying at that estate hehe One of e nicer one that I'm being introduce to is Chai Ho brand bak kwa selling at clementi food market (located beside clementi mrt stn). The stall beside western food that sell satay too during normal days. The bak kwa here are selling at reasonable price and definitely much cheaper than those well-like brand. There are 3 types of bak kwa (mince, slice, chilli). The mince one is really soft. When I bought it last week, it was selling at $40/kg. Is worth trying =) At least e queue won't be that terrible as those at chinatown. Those customers are buying at least 2-3 bags at a time lor. Some aunties even return to buy more despite previously just bought it.

Met up with e gals again on last friday & had dinner at Taste Paradise @Ion orchard. My very few time dining at such attas restaurant lol Actually e gals wanted to have tim sum, custard bun but that's only available during lunch time. End up, we just order a few dishes to fill our hungry stomach. But must admit that e food taste not bad. The waitress recommended we took pekling duck (half size) and it can be done in two serving ways. We had meat to be cook with bee hoon as recommended. Overall, we had a very full dinner. Price was about the same as we usual dine at other normal western restaurant =)

Winter season in sg? LOL The weather for these few days was wet & freezing cold. Rain quite often. Especially in e morning when everyone need to get ready to work. This cool weather just make one hardly resist to get out from e cozy bed. Nice weather to sleep especially cover yourself under a warm blanket =p

However, it was still super sunny on last Sunday till evening then rain. Remembering I was outside shopping for my baking ingredients. When I left house, e weather didn't seem good. But all of e sudden, it turned super sunny when I was having my brunch at clementi central food market. It's been long time since I was in such a crowded neighbourhood area. A neighbourhood area which remind me of childhood days.

There are quite a number of nice food stalls with long queues. Duck rice, western food, fried prawn noodles, fishball noodles, fried carrot cake etc. So many varieties of nice food that I don't know which to choose. Just feel that I want to try all LOL End up, I decide to have economic bee hoon. As for drinks, of course we had KOI! We got it before we head for e food. Lucky e queue wasn't very long. We waited for less than 15minutes. I ordered green milk tea w coconut jelly this time round and my sis ordered vanilla milk tea w pearl. Guess we have tried all e flavours of e milk tea ^.^

What a great year to start with. Down with sore throat & flu on e 5th day of year 2011. Guess due to overdose of all e yummy chocolates ba =p This morning when stepped into e office, stomach suddenly didn't feel well. Decided to go c doctor. So I'm on mc today. Doctor said that throat ok, flu ok because I've sensitive nose and most important is stomach. On e start of having gastric flu, but I'm all well now since I left e office. Is just kinda strange. On Thursday morning, I had no fever after having fever pill e night before, but fever came back in e afternoon -_-" My dear twins was also down with gastric flu yesterday. Let's hope we recover fast =)

Chinese new year is around e corner =) As there is some requests for sales of yummy cny cookies, so will be making e cookies. Will post e photo & pricing of e cny cookies soon~ Will take order for Chocolate chips cookies & chocolate cornflakes. As for pineapple tarts, will have to depend on production =)

First time dining at Tanjong Pagar Food Market. Truely CBD area. As you step in, you will be able to see e streets filled with all e executives especially during knock off hours. Batch & batch of executives heading e mrt exists going home =)

Had my dinner at around 730pm last night. Most of e stalls were ready to close & have a rest after a tiring day. My sis told me that e duck rice over here was very nice. But when she wanted to order, e uncle was closing e stall =( rice sold out. She had wanton noodle in e end. I ordered kuay chap to try as I was having sore throat so prefer some soupy food. Overall, e kuay chap taste not bad =) Also order a cup of starfruit juice.

Back at lao di fang for dinner again last night, but this time round with my twins. Our first dinner of e year 2011. This time round wasn't that lucky because most of e stalls weren't opened. Tom Yum stall, satay stall, sugarcane drink stall lol But we still enjoy our dinner with e yummy food. Order tiong bahru porridge which we never tried before and e fresh cockles.

Happy new year everyone =D I know my greeting is late, but I still would like to greet everyone sincerely. Wish that 2011 will be a blessed year for everyone. If e year 2010 wasn't a good one for you, 2011 will be a good one. If e year 2010 was a good year for you, 2011 will be a better year for you =)

Guess most people must have enjoyed their new year eve & new year with their luv ones and especially at e countdown party. This year e company gave half day, so I went lunch with my family after went to trim my eyebrows. Happened to saw cafe cartel lunch promo which I seldom have chance to lunch at. Because company provide lunch so I have to lunch in. Decided to give it a try. Food not too bad & portion not too big. Is a set lunch with soup, main course & drink.

As for the countdown, as usual, I went to watch firework for e countdown =) Pretty firework at woodlands. The feeling was great especially watching it with your luv one. Woodlands has never failed to have pretty firework for e countdown since e very first year they have it. I enjoy going to woodlands for firework & countdown instead of marina. Transport wise & e crowd at woodlands is much more better plus firework isn't that far too bad than marina.

For the new year day itself, I have a long nap =x Good weather for nap. It rained heavily from 4-5pm till night. I enjoyed my nap so much that I even dreamt that I went bt timah food market for meal. I was surprised that e tom yum stall lady served me tom yum soup on 'friday'. Because e stall was closed on friday. You must be wondering why I put an inverted commas on friday. That's because in my dreamt, it was truely a saturday 1-Jan-2011 itself whereas I thought was a friday. Quite a silly dream =x Guess I must have missed e food there so much. When I wake up from my nap, i decided to head there for dinner =p It was still raining heavily when my sis & I went for dinner. But who care, since there is such a shelter object on e earth called umbrella =p Most of e stalls are opened, especially e tom yum stall. We were still worrying that e hawkers will also rest on this day just like cny lol Had a very full dinner *satisfy*

Bough 2 pairs of shoes on sunday @toa payoh =x That's what I'm looking for before recently I'm looking for heels. Things are always like this, when u are looking for it, it is no where to be found, When you are not, they appear right in front of you & with nice design & gd prices somemore (sales) =p
